Hi, my name is Kelsey, and I’m a stay-at-home mom to four beautiful little girls. After I had my first baby, Madison, I only had six weeks of paid maternity leave, so I quickly transitioned back into the working world. Leaving my precious baby in the care of strangers made me miserable, but at the time, my husband and I simply couldn’t afford for me to leave my job. A few months into being a working mom, I decided something had to change. I desperately wanted to stay home with my baby. So, I sat down with our budget and began slashing everything I could. I cut out my monthly clothing and beauty allowance (adios bi-weekly mani/pedis), started cooking more at home instead of ordering take out or dining out, packed lunches, and implemented other money saving hacks. I cut out hundreds in monthly expenses. That, paired with downsizing to more modest home and cutting out childcare costs, enabled me to finally stay home with my daughter.

Yes, we made lots of sacrifices, but cutting out material things and forgoing my own career was completely worth it to us to let me stay home with our kids. I started this mommy blog to help other moms discover new ways to live frugally and save money. Hope you enjoy reading!
